With Memorial Day weekend upon us and schools sending millions of graduates on to the next step in life, summer is unofficially upon us.  A lot of businesses handle things a little differently in the summer.  Some might offer more flexible hours, while others might relax the dress code a bit to help offset the heat and humidity that July and August can bring.

What about your community?  Do you find a slow down in traffic of potential move-ins?  Do you try and get some renovation or maintenance work done?  Or, are you tighter on staffing due to people being out on vacation?

Use any changes in seasonal patterns as opportunities to revamp calendars/activities and look for ways to improve.  If your traffic slows a bit, use it as a time to review materials and make sure you are doing a great job with every call, e-mail or person that walks in the door.  Season changes bring changes to everyone’s world and always create opportunities for positive change!  Enjoy your long weekend, df
